2. Fall Activity review- Participation Numbers

1. Introduced our new member - Kole Jusczak
2. Reviewed Fall Activities (Regular Season and play-offs)
3. Looked ahead to the Winter Activities - good numbers projected for all activities
4. Activities Smart Goals explanation (Work in progress)
5. Facilities Upgrade plans (Track, FB field, Gym floor, Batting cage) - give a projection of anticipated activities
6. Dogs at outdoor events - discussed what the stance is of the school district - Service animals yes.
7. Food after school for athletes - Discussed ways to provide the opportunities for athletes to get nourishment
prior to a late practice, and or a bus trip.
October 16, 2013 7:15 a.m.
1. Covered participation numbers in fall sports including the need for additional coaches needing to be hired
due to large numbers in Girls Tennis, Cross Country, and Jr. High Volleyball.
2. Distributed a packet showing the Dragon athletic competitiveness since joining the Great River Conference.
Discussed how the format of the packet was designed. Additional discussion on this will occur at the
December meeting after all have had time to look it over.
3. A lively discussion occurred as the committee discussed ways to increase community attendance and pride
in Dragon Activities. The underlying theme of all ideas were the need to foster a bond between
the community and the schools activities, and not just the time period when the person has a vested
interest because a son or daughter is playing.

1. Covered participation numbers in fall sports
Noted several additional coaches hired due to large #'s
2. Talked about ticket prices and how they compare to
neighboring schools. Coach "C" emphasized the push to sell
the Dragon Punch passes which lower each individual ticket
price by $2 which then makes our admission costs some of
the lowest in the area.
